The World Through Youthful Lenses
Through September 29, 2008

On the playing field of art, photography is practically a rookie. For a field that has been around for little over a century, photography has recently almost reinvented itself with new technology. Film has been replaced by memory sticks, darkrooms by computer screens and developer fluid by printers. These changes to the field are quickly embraced by the ever technology-hungry youth around us.

Bellevue Arts Museum is excited to display these digital photographic works by students in Advanced Placement Photography at Newport High School in Bellevue. As a medium that enamors many young, creative minds, the popular technology-driven program at Newport High School offers a range of classes for varying skill levels.

Featured Student Artists
Neil Baunsgard, Sean Dutton, Allicia Louie, Kaya Mills, Linda Oh, Chloe Rivera, Stephanie Shaw, Cameron Van Loos, Lauren Vannini, Rachel Writz, Taryn Gillies and Mr. Foti

This exhibition is organized by Bellevue Arts Museum and Mr. Andrew Foti, photography instructor at Newport High School in Bellevue, WA.
