Ways You Can Support BAM

For over seventy-seven years, the Bellevue Arts Museum has inspired generations of visitors to the wonders of art, craft and design. Like many organizations, BAM is emerging from the impact of the global pandemic and transforming itself with major exhibitions and thoughtful programs become a stronger and even more indispensable resource for our community.


Become more involved with the museum as a supporter. Your tax-deductible gift of any amount makes an immediate impact on the museum’s mission. Make a year-end gift in support of the museum today! All gifts made by 11:59 pm on December 31, 2024 will be included in the 2024 tax-year.

Employer Matching 

Does your employer match charitable giving? Make your gift go even farther by claiming a match to your support of BAM. Check with your Human Resources department for eligibility requirements and learn how to request matching funds for your gift and/or volunteer hours. Our development staff will work with you to complete any documentation required. 

 

Gifts of Stock

Gifts of stock are a smart and simple way to maximize the effectiveness of your charitable giving. If stocks you've held for more than a year have increased in value, you may want to consider using these assetsrather than cashto fund your giving. By transferring ownership of your long-term stock to Bellevue Arts Museum, you make a gift to support our programs and exhibitions and might be able to claim a charitable income tax deduction for the current fair market value of the asset. 

 

Donor Advised Fund 

A donor advised fund (or DAF) is a type of charitable investment account that provides an immediate tax benefit to you and allows you to recommend grants to charities of your choice over time. Granting to Bellevue Arts Museum through your DAF is easy. You can recommend a gift to BAM today or on a recurring basis (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually) to help fuel the creative spirit of our community.

IRA Charitable Rollover 

Individual Retirement Account (IRA) owners age 70 1/2 or older may donate all or a portion of their IRAup to $100,000 annuallyand possibly avoid income taxes that would ordinarily incur with normal distribution. This popular gift option is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover, but you may also see it referred to as a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD for short.  

To make an IRA charitable rollover, ask your IRA administrator about making a direct transfer to Bellevue Arts Museum or have the administrator send a check from your account.
